Connecting GTA Teachers is committed to:
  • woman & man shaking handsContinuing to support student success in the transition from secondary school to college.
  • Continuing to provide secondary school educators with experience, information and materials necessary for them to assist their students in preparing for and choosing college programs.
  • Continuing to strengthen the alignment of secondary school and college curriculum.
  • Continuing to facilitate professional development of secondary school teachers and college faculty, and
  • Continuing to document outcomes for the use of other college/school board partners who wish to participate in similar CGTAT activities.

  • Selection of appropriate secondary school courses and

For College Faculty and Administrators

  • Have a better understanding of the new destination-based, secondary school, curriculum.
  • Are better able to align curriculum to promote smooth transitions for students.
  • Are informed by their secondary school counterparts on admission issues and recommended course selection for entry into and success in specific college programs.
